Dear colleagues and members of the EMU,
We are happy to invite you to the upcoming EMU Capacity Building seminar “QUALITY IN MUSIC EDUCATION”. The seminar will be held in the beautiful city of Prague and the event will be hosted by the AZUS CR – Czech Arts School Union.
The seminar will explore the different kinds of evaluation models and philosophies. Speakers of the seminar are specialists with hands-on experience on music education evaluation. The seminar will explore how we can use evaluation as a tool for development, how the external auditing and evaluation have been conducted in music schools in Czech Republic, how we can assure quality in pre-college music education and it will present new quality criteria in pre-college music education made by European Association of Conservatoires (AEC) as well as the music schools evaluation model from Switzerland. Presentations will be followed up by open discussions “Evaluation and quality assurance in music schools” among the participants. Please click HERE to download the detailed programme.
The target group of the seminar is music school directors and teachers as well as people working in national music school associations. The seminar suits well for any person who is interested in developing new evaluation skills and tools.
The seminar aims to enhance the dialogue and synergies between local, national and international levels of music education.
The conference language is English but the translation from English to Czech language will be provided.

Deadline:
The deadline for registration is the 10th of March 2017. The fee will be invoiced and due to be paid to EMU by 20.03.2017. Upon the registration participants will receive practical information of the seminar.
Registration fee:
– the registration fee is 250 € without the accommodation (Option 1)
– and 300 € including one hotel night in a single room in Hotel Olšanka, Táboritská 1000/23, 130 00 Praha 3 (Option 2) More info hotel: www.hotelolsanka.cz
The registration fee includes meals (dinner 26.04 and lunch 27.04) as well as refreshments during the meetings. The seminar will be held in the premises of the Hotel Olšanka.
