Meeting of the Boards, 14 & 15 October 2021 in Novi Sad, Serbia

The 2021 edition of the Meeting of the Boards (MotB) will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia on 14 and 15 October.  The MotB is a biennial event organised by the EMU in partnership with one of their members and targeted specifically at board members of EMU member organisations as well as people working in national music school associations.

This years’ edition will be hosted by the Association of Music and Ballet schools of Serbia and will be dedicated to “Pedagogic Development of European Music Education After the Corona Pandemic”. With the design of the programme, we wished to both address some of the burning issues that music schools across Europe currently face, while also meeting the commitment made to our members with regards to inclusion. The programme includes keynotes and introductory speeches on topics regarding the (new) role of music schools in society, digitisation, how to achieve equity of opportunities in view of new social challenges and further related topics, each followed by exchanges and breakout group discussions.

As the MotB is focused on international exchange, we decided to host the event physically in Novi Sad. However, should the pandemic situation have worsened by the registration deadline of September 6, we will switch to an online format and inform you accordingly. We therefore encourage you to register already now but advise you to book your flights only after September 6.
