The 50th Meeting of the EMU General Assembly and European Music School Forum will take place from 28 May to 1 June 2025 in Catalonia, Spain. Below you will find all the practical details for your trip to Spain. Please note that the appendixes for the General Assembly will be uploaded progressively over the coming weeks, in accordance with the timetable set out in the Rules of Procedure.

ACCOMMODATION
The ACEM covers the accommodation and subsistence cost for the honorary members and for one delegate from each member country during the General Assembly and European Music School Forum for a maximum of 4 nights. We hope to see as many participants as possible from our member associations, but please note that extra participants will have to cover their own accommodation and subsistence costs. Details on the options and related cost for additional participants can be found in the registration form.
All delegates and participants will be accommodated at the Hotel Pamplona and Hotel Balmes in Vic.

TRANSPORT FROM BARCELONA-EL PRAT AIRPORT TO VIC
Shuttle buses from the airport to Vic will run on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, and 16:00. Return buses will be available on: Friday, May 30, at 13:30 and 16:00 (last day of the forum) or on Sunday, June 1, at 9:00 and 11:00 (after the festival ends). In the coming weeks, the ACEM will ask for your flight details, arrival time, and you will be able to choose the shuttle schedule that suits you best.

COUNTERPOINT(ERS) – ACEM at 30: Conversations, reflections and future prospects for music education
Our colleagues and hosts of this year’s General Assembly, the Associació Catalana d’Escoles de Música (ACEM), have recently celebrated their 30th anniversary. To mark this milestone, they have published a commemorative book offering a comprehensive overview of several key topics that shape their work, while also providing valuable insights into the Spanish and Catalan music education systems. Selected topics from the book will be featured as part of the European Music School Forum (see programme below). In honour of this year’s event, our Catalan colleagues have also prepared a special English edition of the book, which can be accessed here.
