The interests of the Music School System
- Co-organising the Youth Music Festival in 2012.
- Promoting more visibility for young musicians on European platforms: in countries with a Cultural Capital platforms for music groups on a regular basis / small festivals.
- Promoting the principles of the Road Map of Arts Education on national and European level
- Organising presidium meetings in member countries and meeting the board and authorities in these countries.
- Publication ‘Music Education in Europe’ (a compile of the results of last 4 EMU conferences).
- Gathering statistical information on Europe’s Music Schools (publication in 2011).
- ’Advocacy work on music education’ in Europe: contacts with EU-Commission; EU working groups; EU parliamentarians; promoting contact members with national parliament[1]; UNESCO (World Conference 2010 in Korea); meetings ‘Council of Europe'
- Structural contacts with AEC (participation in the Polifonia working group(s), EMC, Arts4All and ISME.
- Participation seminars and some other activities organised by the Council of Europe, EMC, AEC, Arts4All.
Exchange ideas to get common approaches
- Organising the General Assembly in Essen.
- Organising the Conference ‘Music Education in Europe – Music For All’.
- Organising the 2ndSeminar for music school directors ‘European Leadership Training’.
- Continuation of steps towards Europe: researching all possibilities on co-operation between member countries, music schools, teachers.
- Continuation cooperation with the other arts (EMU working group).
- Promoting / patronising projects on partnership / collaboration between national associations, music schools and regions in Europe.
- Supporting the development of the associations
- Links on EMU website to project descriptions from the different EMU-Countries
- Marketing ‘emu4you’ meeting point.
Developing EMU’s organisation
- Research for / and applying annual operating grant European Union per 2011
- Targeting new members.
