International Contacts

EMU has binding links with the European Union from which it also, regularly, receives supplementary funding for its projects. Furthermore, EMU is a non-governmental organization recognized by the Council of Europe, another contributor to projects such as Intercultural Music Education in Europe. EMU also participates with the international music organizations IMC and EMC. There are also long standing contacts with sister organizations dealing with the conservatories (AEC), youth competitions, Jeunesses Musicales etc.

In summary: In recent years, EMU has spread its organisational wings to 26 European countries, particularly countries from Eastern Europe.
