. Culture programme 2007 - 2013
Cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue
The EU’s cultural diversity has increasingly been seen as one of its greatest assets. That is why the Commission’s new agenda for Culture seeks both to safeguard and promote it through different actions including through intercultural dialogue.
Support for cultural diversity comes from the Union’s Culture programme. This will help thousands of cultural organisations to create and implement cultural and artistic projects. It will also help improve the knowledge and dissemination of European cultural heritage, promote cultural exchanges, and more. The programme will be very instrumental in promoting the transnational circulation of works of art, the mobility of artists across national borders and intercultural dialogue.
